Yours

I whispered it slowly,

I shout it out loud

Even when my mouth didn’t make a sound

I spelled your name,

Painted in an orange flame

I saw it while my head was spinning

I liked it from the beginning

I tasted it and it was salty and sweet

I wrote it till I made the words bleed

I felt it pumping in my veins

I screamed it while laughing

On the streets, in trains and planes

And saying it while I lay on the ground

It’s somewhere between a prayer and a shout

A feeling of lost and found

Delirious sound

It’s like I can’t get enough of it

I’ll say it one more round just a bit.
